Lukas and I headed to Nana, Papa and Aunt Jen's house for Halloween. We met Heather, Sarah and Andrew at the pumpkin patch on Halloween. We had a great time catching up.
That night we headed to the Hometown Halloween in the town Mom and Dad live. We almost didn't make it. Luke took a late nap and was not wanting to wake up. He ended up having a really good time even though he didn't want to wear his costume - just his hat. It was a lot of fun. He got lots of candy. They had free pony rides and blow up games.
Luke bounced in the bounce house. Then he wanted to slide down this big slide. I didn't think that he was big enough. Well, he thought differently. My little man climbed up there all by himself and had a blast sliding down. 
When we came back Luke had his dentist appointment. He did really good. There were some tears, but it wasn't too bad. They let him pick out the color of his filling. Nana wasn't very happy with me that Luke now has a green tooth so here is a picture to prepare her before we see her next week. He is so proud of his green tooth. He is now taking flouride every day to try to help the condition that his baby teeth are in. Hopefully that will help so his mouth won't have all the colors of the rainbow in it by the time he gets his permanent teeth.
He is growing up so fast. He is learning to make conversation on the phone. Whenever he talks to someone on the phone he asks them how their dog is doing. It is pretty cute! That is all the fun stuff that we've done lately. We'll post again after Thanksgiving!
Since my last post we've taken our youth ministry to Frontier City. We all had a really great time.

After Frontier City we headed south to attend the Oklahoma State Meeting of Free Will Baptist. We were able to stay with Granny. It worked out great having a free babysitter. It was a really great week. Granny held a family birthday party for Luke. He was jumping at another chance to eat some cake!
He got some cool Thomas stuff from Uncle Bobby and Aunt Shawn. Granny got him some pumpkin crocs and a pumpkin shirt. For those of you that don't know we are a OU Sooner household. Luke's pumpkin crocs kind of look like OSU shoes. When I asked him what he needed to tell Granny (meaning thank you) he said, "We don't like the Pokes, we like the Boomer Sooners!" Not quite what I had in mind, but oh well!
Luke had a great time playing with cousins that week. Granny had a full house all week long!
We came home from Granny's on a Thursday and Nana, Papa and Aunt Jen came in for Luke's birthday party!
Luke had a Lightning McQueen birthday party. I told Daniel that our son was commiting idol worship. He stared at his cake for hours. We had to pick it up the day before the party - so he had plenty of time to look at his cake.
The poor baby had thrown up because he had so much drainage. But isn't this just too cute!

Our church had our Fall Party this past weekend. Here is my James!
This was Luke's favorite booth. He was fascinated that he was in the bubble.
We let Luke open his presents from us yesterday morning. He has been looking forward to this birthday since this summer so I felt bad to make him wait until next weekend to open his presents. This was his favorite gift. A Mack truck with a Lightning McQueen Shake-N-Go car. He played with it all day yesterday and even got in trouble last night playing with it when he was supposed to be going to sleep. Luke picked McDonald's for his b-day dinner last night. Who would have ever guessed that?!?!
This was just a cute picture. Luke made a bed out of my laundry basket. I can not begin to tell you how much this little guy is growing up. His language sounds so big now. He still has a few words that have a little bit of baby in them. Instead of saying another he says "anuhwe". It's so cute. His imaginative play has developed tremendously. It is so funny listening to him having a conversation between two toys.
We went to Tulsa last Thursday. The purpose of the trip was to get our hair cut on Friday and his 3 year old pictures taken on Saturday. I had over booked us so Daniel stayed home to take care of the concession stands that our youth ministry is doing for a fundraiser. We got in Thursday evening and Luke got to open a few early birthday presents. Aunt Jen got a big kiss from Luke because she bought him tickets to A Day Out With Thomas for his birthday. He is so excited! We are going this Friday. Stay tuned for lots of pictures!
We celebrated our 2nd Forever Family Day on August 14th! Luke knew that it was a very special day. He got a new shirt as a gift that day. Per his request we went to McDonald's for dinner and came home for cup cakes and ice cream! It was a very special, fun day. We are so very very blessed to be this little guys mommy and daddy.
August also marked our first anniversary of living in this house. We knew when we bought it that it was a "fixer upper". Daniel wanted to buy it and I wasn't so sure about it. It seems that we have had one issue after another. The plumbing in this bathroom has been messing up since February and the bathroom has been completely out of commission since May. Well, the plumbers came out to fix the plumbing and had to cut a hole in the bathroom floor. Here is Daniel after he has the hole fixed. He was FILTHY! But I was very proud of him for getting it fixed. They should be out to lay the tile the end of this week!!!
Mom, Dad and Jen came out Labor Day weekend. Luke went home with them. This marked the first official night that he stayed away that I wouldn't get to see him first thing the next morning. He looked like such a big boy with his toy backpack on his back and his clothes in the rolling backpack. He went home with them on Aug. 31st which is our 2 year anniversary at home!
